Ignition Business Manager re-elected to ESSA Board
Hannah Jardine has been re-elected onto the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) Board of Directors for another 2 years.
Hannah has served on the board for the past 3 years, where she is responsible for driving sustainability and diversity in the events industry.
ESSA’s purpose is to deliver value to members by supporting their continuous improvement and success, and as a result the Board have set up 4 key areas to focus on for its members. Hannah volunteered to lead the ‘We enable members to do it better’ group.
As part of the ‘do it better’ group, ESSA launched 2 new working groups - one around diversity and inclusivity and one around sustainability. The aim of both is to raise awareness and to provide support to members in these areas.
Hannah chairs the ESSA Diversity and Inclusivity working group, whose purpose is to diversify, attract and retain talent in the industry and generally empower members to bring about positive change. The group wants to create an industry which is fair and representative. They are in the process of producing podcasts, associated training courses and a resource hub for all members to access.
Hannah was also involved in the recent launch of the ESSA Sustainability Accreditation Module, which allows members to work toward key sustainability goals.
Hannah’s focus for the next 2 years is to deliver the works proposed for the Diversity and Inclusivity group, as well as the Sustainability Group, and to continue to make membership inclusive and sustainable for all.
Congratulations Hannah!
