2x finalists at the Business Leader Awards 2021

The Business Leader Finalists for 2021 were announced on Wednesday 26 August.

Our CEO, Samantha Rowe is a finalist within the Business Leader of the Year category, and Ignition is a finalist within the Green Business of the Year category.

This is a great achievement and builds upon our success earlier this year, winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.

We are delighted that our CEO and the rest of our Ignition team have been recognised for embedding sustainability throughout our business. Our core service offering isn’t naturally of a sustainable nature, but it’s how we’ve conducted ourselves from the start. We were the 1st company in our industry to be certified with ISO 20121 (Sustainable Events Management).

Sustainability is part of our culture, and Sam is an advocate for intelligent design and innovation, with direct environmental impacts. Sam deserves this recognition as a pioneer and true leader in the events and exhibition industry.

An overview of each category is shared with you below.

Green Business of the Year

This award is open to companies that can demonstrate a successful commitment to managing their social, environmental and financial obligations. They will have put sustainability at the core of their business.

Business Leader of the Year

This award will be given to an individual that has made an outstanding contribution to business and industry through years of dedication and hard work. A titan of the business world, this person has helped to create jobs, employment and growth and inspired others to follow suit. The winner of this award is a Business Leader of unparalleled influence.
