The brief

LafargeHolcim wanted their next show to represent a strategic brand statement that would unite the business. Debuting at North America’s largest construction trade show in Las Vegas, the stand needed to position Holcim as an industry-leader.

In the world of events, the stand needed to be a ‘must-see’.

The design needed to be high-impact, customisable, adjustable and scalable, allowing for maximum re-use. The stand needed to be reconfigurable for future shows, whatever the footprint, theme or visitor demographic.

Finally, it was important that the booth created an immediate sense of welcome, with key areas of interest showcasing the family of brands (‘Materials that perform’) within the offering.

 

The design

The design reflected LafargeHolcim’s high-level operations, global reach and product range. The modular footprint demanded attention with a double-deck booth structure, featuring a private meeting room for up to 8 people.

Within the stand, dedicated areas featured custom-built totems to display the various product ranges. The flexible digital assets allowed LafargeHolcim’s team to engage with delegates, as well as creating high-level visibility.

An object recognition table created tactile memories. The table allowed delegates to place aggregate in the location they’d come from, which then showed on an interactive map. The map showcased the company’s USP that its products can reach hard-to-access areas.

We created a marketing theme ‘Welcome to our World’ and ‘What’s in your mix?’ which fed into a live LED display as visitors interacted with the brand during the show. Then visitors left with a fun ‘pick’n’mix’ style snack bag.

The flexible design gave impact at scale, whilst also offering numerous configuration possibilities.

Aligned in sustainability

Along our passion for events and exhibitions, Holcim and Ignition both hold CO2 targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative for all scopes. Bringing our mutual sustainable value to life through exhibitions and events was a joy.

Holcim now has an exhibition booth designed with modularity, scalability and re-usability in mind. Each element of the booth can be reconfigured and repurposed with the same architecture and kit of parts across multiple variations, including single or double-storey layouts. Saving time and money for future events to come.
